Charlottesville, VA – Virginia women’s golfers Lindsay Robinson and Leah Wigger have been named to the National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team. To be selected to the team, golfers need a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 and the student-athletes must have competed in at least 50% of the college’s regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.

It marked the third straight year both players have been recognized by the NGCA for their outstanding academic work.

A second-team All-American, Wigger led UVa with a school-record stroke average of 73.26 in 2006. She was also named to the CoSIDA District III second-team Academic All-America team and the ACC’s All-Academic squad. Robinson played in six tournaments during the season and sported a 78.0 stroke average.
