TODAY’S GAME
The Cavaliers conclude their season-opening three game homestand on Wednesday as they meet VCU. Virginia is looking to open the season with a 3-0-0 record for the third consecutive season.

ABOUT THE CAVALIERS
Virginia enters the game with a 2-0-0 record after topping Syracuse 6-0 and Liberty 1-0 over the weekend. Caitlin Miskel and Jen Redmond are tied for the team lead in scoring with two goals and an assist a piece. The Cavalier defense has posted shutouts in the first two games, allowing just two shots, none on goal, this season.

ABOUT THE RAMS
VCU enters the game with a 1-0-1 record after playing in the FAU Kickoff Classic. The Rams defeated Stetson 3-1 and tied host Florida Atlantic 1-1. Hayley Moorwood leads the team in scoring with two goals.

VIRGINIA-VCU SERIES
Wednesday’s game is the third all-time meeting between the schools with Virginia having a 1-0-1 edge in the series. The teams have not met since 1998, a 1-1 tie in Richmond. In 1996, the Cavaliers topped the Rams 5-0 at Klöckner Stadium. VCU played in Charlottesville two years ago, as they fell to Duke in a first round NCAA Tournament game at Klöckner.
