CHARLOTTESVILLE – The Virginia women’s soccer team looks to set a new Klockner Stadium women’s soccer attendance record Thursday night when they host No. 2 North Carolina. The current record is 1,994, set in 1995, also against the Tar Heels. There will be several promotions and offers for fans attending the game.

Youth Soccer Night – Kids wearing soccer jerseys receive admission for only $1.

Raising Canes Attendance Challenge – If the attendance record of 1,994 is broken, everyone receives a coupon to Raising Canes Chicken Fingers when exiting.

Greek Attendance Challenge – The fraternity and sorority that has the highest percentage of their organization in attendance wins a chicken fingers party from Raising Canes.

$1 Concessions – on hot dogs, popcorn, and soda

Giveaways – Orange shakers to the first 100 fans and UVa “Beanie Caps” to the first 1,000 fans.

Raffle Ticket Night – Each fan will get a ticket and fans can watch the video board throughout the game to win prizes by matching the numbers.

Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for kids, senior citizens, faculty and staff (with a vaild UVa ID). The UVa Women’s Soccer team will be passing out discounted tickets for Thursday’s game at the men’s soccer game Tuesday night against Liberty.

The game will also be the women’s soccer debut of HooVision, the newly installed video scoreboard at Klockner Stadium. The video display itself is 22 feet wide and 12 feet high. Live action and video replays will be shown on the board, creating a new atmosphere for college soccer.
