Richmond, VA – The Virginia women’s golf program’s B-Team shot 318 during the second round at Richmond’s 12-team Spider Fall Invitational to place second with a two-day total of 629. Campbell used a second-round score of 307 to move by the Cavaliers on the leaderboard and take the team title at 623 in rainy conditions at Virginia Crossings Golf Club.

Virginia was led by Kristen Simpson who was second overall at 154. She had rounds of 76 and 78. Campbell’s Belen Diaz Cisneros took medalist honors at 154. Simpson’s finish was her best as a Cavalier.

Cavalier freshman Whitney Neuhauser was third at 155. She also shot 78 during the second round. Sally Shonk tied for sixth at 159, to record her first top-10 finish. Lindsay Robinson was 15th overall at 164 and Ashley Mayo turned in her best collegiate effort by finishing 22nd at 168. Kira Mayo, playing as an individual, was 42nd at 179.
