CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The University of Virginia women’s rowing team competes in the Princeton Chase on Sunday, Oct. 29, in Princeton, N.J., on Lake Carnegie. The regatta is an invitational, a three-mile head-race hosted by Princeton University and the Carnegie Lake Rowing Association.

The Cavaliers are scheduled to race in the women’s open eight and open four competitions. The open eight race is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. and will feature over fifty entries. The open four event begins at 3:30 p.m. and includes over sixty entries.

At the 2005 Princeton Chase Regatta, the Cavaliers finished second and fourth in the open eight event and third in the open four race.

Virginia enters the competition after a strong performance at the Head of the Charles Regatta on October 22. The Cavaliers finished fourth in the championship eight competition and seventh in the championship four race. The regatta was held on the Charles River in Boston, Mass.
