Jessy Morgan helped Virginia to the ACC Championship in 2006 and was named the National Player of the Week on March 27, 2006. One of Virginia’s starting line defenders, Morgan helped the Cavaliers hold William & Mary and Princeton to a combined eight goals, including blanking the Tigers in the second half of the game while allowing the Tribe only one goal in the opening stanza of that contest. Morgan shut down the top attacker in both games, allowing only one goal to the opposition’s top scorer. In August she was named to the US National squad.
