CHARLOTTESVILLE – The Virginia men’s swimming and diving team looks for its ninth consecutive conference title this week as it heads to North Carolina for the 2007 ACC Championships. The four-day meet will run February 21-24 at Koury Natatorium in Chapel Hill.

Three Cavaliers enter the meet looking to defend ACC individual titles. Pat Mellors (Pittsburgh, Pa.) is the defending champion in the 200 I.M. and the 400 I.M. John Millen (Lilburn, Ga.) is looking to defend his title in the 1650 free. Vanja Rogulj (Zagreb, Croatia) is looking for his fourth ACC title in the 200 breaststroke and his third ACC title in the 100 breaststroke. Bryan Stahl (Woodlands, Texas) and Stefan Hirniak (Highland Park, N.J.) look for more ACC titles after being members of conference winning relays last year.

The meet begins Wednesday at 7 p.m. with the 800 free relay and the 200 medley relay. The finals of each day of the meet will broadcast live online by ACC Select (www.accselect.com).
