Comcast SportsNet Invades Charlottesville

Comcast SportsNet, the leader in local sports television, will return to the University of Virginia for the second year of “SportsNite on Campus,” Saturday, Sept. 29. The network will once again immerse itself in the Charlottesville campus to give viewers a taste of the Cavalier lifestyle.
Comcast SportsNet’s Michael Jenkins will deliver the area’s most comprehensive coverage of the Cavaliers, who remain undefeated in the ACC. Viewers will join a tailgate with Virginia Head Basketball Coach Dave Leitao and notable alumni prior to the game and University of Virginia Athletic Director Craig Littlepage will sit down with Comcast SportsNet inside Bryant Hall. The network will also conduct a one-on-one interview with Head Football Coach Al Groh and bring fans coverage from the field, locker room and press conference following the game against Pittsburgh.
Leading up to this Saturday’s game, Comcast SportsNet’s David Lee will break down game film with Groh during “Chalk Talk with Al Groh” Thursday within SportsNite.
“SportsNite on Campus” will return Oct. 13 for Towson’s homecoming game. “SportsNite on Campus” will also cover the Cavaliers again on Oct. 20 from College Park when the University of Maryland faces its conference rival. Finishing up the series this season will be the Oct. 27 matchup in Annapolis when Navy plays host to Delaware.
