CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia swimming and diving schedule was finalized Wednesday. The Cavaliers open the 2007-08 slate next Thursday (Oct. 11) at home against Florida. Meet time is set for 7 p.m. at the Aquatics & Fitness Center.

The battle with Florida is one of four home meets for head coach Mark Bernardino and his squads. The Cavaliers also play host to Clemson (Oct. 27), the Tennessee men (Nov. 15) and Pittsburgh (Jan. 27).

The Cavaliers will complete in dual meets at Virginia Tech (Oct. 20), Penn State (Nov. 9), vs. Michigan State (Nov. 10 at Penn State), at Duke with Gardner Webb (Jan. 19) and North Carolina (Jan. 20).

Among the invitational-style events are the Georgia Invitational, set for Nov. 30 though Dec. 2 in Athens, Ga., and the Navy Invitational, a one-day meet scheduled for Feb. 2 in Annapolis, Md.

The Navy Invitational will serve as the final tune-up before the ACC Championships. The women’s league competition will be held Feb. 20-23 while the men’s ACC meet is scheduled for Feb. 27-March 1. Both conference championships will be held on the Georgia Tech campus in Atlanta.

The 2008 Women’s NCAA Championships is set for March 20-22 in Columbus, Ohio, while the Men’s NCAA Championships will be held in Federal Way, Wash., from March 27-29.
