Time for Maryland Game Subject to 6-Day TV option

The starting time for Virginia’s football game at Maryland on Oct. 20 will not be announced until this Sunday.

ESPN/ABC has declared a six-day option for two ACC games that week. ESPN/ABC will hold both the Cavaliers’ game at Maryland, as well as the Miami at Florida State contest. Starting times for both games are expected to be announced by Sunday, Oct. 14.

The Cavaliers’ game vs. the Terrapins will begin at either 3:30 p.m. and be shown on ABC or at 8 p.m. and be shown on ESPN2. The Miami/Florida State game will broadcast on ABC and begin at either 3:30 p.m. or 8 p.m.

Virginia hosts undefeated Connecticut this Saturday at 3:30 p.m. The game is being televised by ESPNU.
