Who has been a role model for you in your life?
Pearman:
My brother and my dad. My brother because people never really thought he would be too much. They never thought he would succeed as much as he has and he has proven everybody wrong.

What has been the most exciting part of the season for you thus far?
Pearman:
Probably the Middle Tennessee game. Having as little time left as we did in the end and then having no timeouts and coming back like that. that’s the type of stuff that happens in movies. It was crazy to be a part of it. I’ve never been part of something like that before. It was just awesome how we ran the ball down and kicked that field goal. It was amazing, especially with the odds that were against us.

What would you being doing with your spare time if you weren’t playing football for UVa?
Pearman:
I’d be riding horses and playing with my animals.

What is your fondest football memory?
Pearman:
I would say now the last drive of the Middle Tennessee game. That’s going to be a memory that is going to last forever.

You wear the number 21. Is there any significance behind that?
Pearman:
Obviously my brother had it and Tiki Barber had it. It’s more significant that my brother had it right before I came here, which is cool keeping it in the family. We don’t have any more boys coming here with the name Pearman, so hopefully I can finish strong and hold the number down pretty well.

Did you request that number or was it just randomly assigned to you?
Pearman:
It was just in my locker when I came here. It was cool. I liked Coach Groh’s reasoning on that.

If you could compare yourself to another running back, whom would that be?
Pearman:
Probably my brother, just being a little bit faster and a little bit smaller.

If you could sit down for dinner with any person, living or deceased, whom would it be and why?
Pearman:
My grandfather. He passed away. I would probably choose him just because I’d like to sit down and talk to him for a while since I wasn’t around right when he passed away. I wish he could see what I’m doing now.

What is something most people don’t know about you?
Pearman:
That I love horses and I ride walking horses, and that’s my life when I’m not playing football.
