Charlottesville, VA – Coming off a fourth-place finish at Notre Dame’s Gridiron Classic on Oct. 2, the Virginia men’s golf team is back in action this weekend when it competes Friday through Sunday at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate at The Ridges Golf and Country Club in Jonesborough, Tenn. The 15-team field includes six teams from the ACC, five teams from the Southeastern Conference, and eight teams that are currently ranked in the top-50 of Golfweek’s standings. East Tennessee State is the host school for the event.

The field includes: Auburn, Coastal Carolina, East Tennessee State, Kentucky, Kent State, Maryland, North Carolina, NC State, Tennessee, South Carolina, UAB, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest. Eight of those teams competed in the 2007 NCAA Championships.

Virginia’s lineup will include Greg Carlin, Steven Rojas, Will Collins, Conrad Von Borsig and Henry Smart. Carlin is coming off a second-place finish at Notre Dame where he shot a career best 3-under 210. The tournament will be Rojas’ first collegiate event.

Virginia was eighth at last year’s tournament, led by Von Borsig’s 13th place finish.
