Kelsey Vonier and the Cavaliers have been ranked in the top-20 throughout all of the 2007 season. The team will host ACC-rival Duke on Saturday, October 27 in the final home regular season game. Vonier has been a part of the resurgence of the Virginia field hockey program, helping the Cavaliers to a 23-15 record over the last two seasons despite playing a top-10 schedule both in 2006 and 2007.

Best field hockey game I have been a part of: James River vs. Collegiate. We won 3-2 in overtime; it was the first victory against Collegiate in JRHS school history.
Why I play field hockey: For the love of the game
What do Michele Madison and her staff bring to Virginia? Positive, optimistic attitudes. They are personable and willing to work with you.
Why did I choose the number that I have? Given the choices, it seemed like the best option, not too high not too low.
Your favorite thing about UVa field hockey: I’ve loved being surrounded by people who can never get enough of hockey.
What is something about me that is unique/different? I am an artist. I mainly paint, but I also like to draw. I also enjoy wind surfing.
