Called up from Double-A Mobile on May 16. In his first full season with Arizona, hit .289 with 17 HR and 63 RBI as the starting third baseman. Got off to a hot start for the D-Backs during his first two weeks, hitting .426 with four home runs and 15 RBI. Hit .241 in the postseason with a home run in the NLDS and NLCS.

Called up from Triple-A Colorado Springs in September when rosters expanded, appeared in 17 games. His first ML hit was a 2-run double. For Sky Sox, batted a career-high and team-leading .295 with 21 home runs. His team-high 99 RBI ranked fifth in the Pacific Coast League. Walked a career-high 67 times and had a career-high .380 OBP. Was named to the Pacific Coast League Post-Season All-Star team.
