Virginia is 11-3 all-time against the Spiders since their first meeting in 1980.

The Cavaliers are 2-0 this year against opponents from the state of Virginia.

UVa is 15-7 all-time in John Paul Jones Arena.

The Cavaliers had four players in double figures for the first time this season. Second year Monica Wright led the way with a career-high 27 points, followed by Lyndra Littles (18), Paulisha Kellum (12) and Aisha Mohammed (11).

Wright’s previous career-high 26 points last season against Temple (Nov. 29).

Fourth year Sharne Zoll also finished with a game-high 10 assists to mark the 11th double digit assist game on her career.

Virginia’s 46.2 percentage from the field (30-65) was its best of the year thus far.

Virginia outrebounded Richmond 44-31 and has outrebounded three of its four opponents so far in this young season.

Virginia will leave Monday for Hawaii, where the squad will participate in the Rainbow Wahine Classic. First up for UVa is Texas, as the two squads will meet at 6:20 p.m. Eastern time Friday.
