Virginia head coach Debbie Ryan
On starting the game strong:
“I thought we were very sharp to start the game and for the most part we sustained a good effort. They got back in the game by making some 3’s, so we need to be better at that for sure.”

On the return of Enong Stovall to the lineup:
“She’d been out for three weeks so UConn was her first game back. She’s learning the offenses again and she’s better now than she was two weeks ago.”

On not letting Davidson back within single digits in the second half:
“We did a good job tonight of shutting the door and finishing the game, which is what you have to do. This team is performing just about where I would expect them to. There are some games I wish we would have won or done better in, but we are slowly coming together to where we want to be. We’ve been off for 14 days, and we played well for that much of a break.
