NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Virginia indoor track and field team concluded day two of the Armory Collegiate Invitational this evening. Five more Cavaliers finished in the top of their events to add to the seven from yesterday.

Fourth-year Emily Harrison led the women’s side with a fourth place finish in the 3,000 meter run. Harrison crossed the line in a personal-best time of 9:30.24. Third-year Sara Casscells also placed for the women, taking sixth in the one mile, with a personal-best time of 4:52.93.

The women’s 4×800 meter relay team took fifth in a time of 9:09.39.

For the men, second-year Stephen Finley led the way with a personal-best fourth place finish of 4:14.23 in the one mile, while fourth-year Mike Hagos finished the race in a personal-best time of 4:16.20.

Reuben Jones also placed for the men, picking up a seventh place finish in the 60-meter consolations, in 6.84, and first-year Conlon Bonner put in a personal-best time in the 200 meters, finishing in 21.79.

The men’s 4×800 relay team finished with a season-best time of 7:40.62.

The team will take next weekend off before traveling to Blacksburg, Va., on Feb. 22-23 for the Virginia Tech Challenge.
