TULSA, Okla. The 2008 NCAA Singles and Doubles Championship draws were announced Tuesday as play begins in the individual championships Wednesday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. Virginia has three players competing in singles and one team competing in doubles.

Senior Somdev Devvarman (Chennai, India), the No. 1 seed and reigning NCAA Champion, begins his title defense against Ryan Preston of Vanderbilt. Preston is currently ranked No. 53 in the ITA rankings. That match is slated for 11:30 a.m. CT.

Junior Dominic Inglot (London, England), a No. 9-16 seed, opens against Justin Kronauge of Ohio State. Kronauge is ranked No. 19 in the ITA rankings. That match is scheduled for 10 a.m. CT.

Senior Treat Huey (Alexandria, Va.) will open play against Ivan Bjelica of Mississippi State, a 9-16 seed. Bjelica is ranked No. 12 in the current ITA singles rankings. That match will also start at 10 a.m. CT.

The doubles tournament begins Thurday. Top-seeded Devvarman and Huey will play Daniel Buikema and Mathieu Thibaudeau of Alabama in the first round. The Crimson Tide duo is ranked No. 19 in the ITA rankings.
