Volleyball Season Tickets Now On Sale

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Season tickets for the Virginia women’s volleyball matches during the 2009 season are on sale now. These season tickets will include admission to 14 exciting home matches, as well as the Holiday Inn Jefferson Cup and the Marriott Cavalier Invitational.

All season ticket holders will have the option to be seated in a reserved seating area at Memorial Gymnasium. In addition, free parking will be available in the Culbreth Garage after 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, while paid parking will be available at the Central Grounds Garage next to Mem Gym.

Season tickets for adults are $50, while youth, senior and faculty staff season tickets are $35. For a single match, general admission is $5. Youth, senior and staff general admission is $4 and group ticketing of 20 or more will be $3 per ticket.

Fans can purchase tickets online, in person or by telephone. To purchase tickets online, visit VirginiaSports.com. In-person sales can be made at the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office in Bryant Hall at Scott Stadium on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Telephone purchases can be made by calling 1-800-542-UVA1 (8821) or locally at 434-924-UVA1 (8821).

Virginia opens its home schedule on Friday, Sept. 4 with a doubleheader in Mem Gym. The Cavaliers host North Carolina Central (1 p.m.) and VCU (7 p.m.) on the opening day of the Holiday Inn Jefferson Cup. UVa’s annual Orange/Blue scrimmage is Saturday, Aug. 22, at 3 p.m. Admission for the Orange/Blue scrimmage is free.
