Cavman's Crew Offers Special Events for Young UVa Fans

CHARLOTTESVILLE – A new season is underway for Cavman’s Crew, the official kid’s club of Virginia athletics. Cavman’s Crew is open to youth in eighth grade and under and features free membership and seven complimentary admissions to select UVa sporting events. Each member of Cavman’s Crew also receives a free t-shirt and is eligible to be selected for special events, such as the McDonald’s Ball Kid at home football and basketball games.
In response to feedback from Cavman’s Crew members last season, the complimentary admission coupons include more events during the 2009-10 season:
– All home men’s soccer games
– All home women’s soccer games
– All Saturday or Sunday home volleyball games to the first 100 coupons redeemed
– All home women’s basketball games
– All home men’s lacrosse games
– All home women’s lacrosse games
– All home non-conference baseball games and the first 100 coupons redeemed for home games against ACC opponents
Cavman’s Crew ticket coupons must be exchanged at the facility entrance for a ticket. All Cavman’s Crew members are encouraged to arrive early for all games. A Cavman’s Crew ticket coupon does not guarantee admission to the event.
New for 2009-10, members of Cavman’s Crew will also receive a $5 admission coupon for any regular season non-ACC men’s basketball game in 2009-10. They will also receive a coupon for a free ice cream cone from McDonald’s upon sign-up.
Members of Cavman’s Crew also receive a birthday card from Cavman, a quarterly newsletter with games and information from the Cavaliers, and email notifications of special events for families provided by Virginia athletics. Members may also be selected to participate in starting lineup introductions, throw a first pitch at a baseball game, or be the McDonald’s Ball Kid for home football and men’s and women’s basketball games.
