CHARLOTTESVILLE – Cavalier women’s soccer first-year forward Caroline Milller (Rockville, Md.) was named the ACC Co-Player of the Week, conference officials announced Tuesday. In addition, Miller earned national honors, as she was named Top Drawer Soccer’s National Player of the Week and was a member of Soccer America’s Team of the Week.

Miller made an impact for the Cavaliers in her first two games at Klöckner Stadium. She had a goal and three assists in Virginia’s 5-0 win over Liberty on Friday night. On Sunday, she had two goals and an assist in the Cavaliers’ 7-0 win over Hofstra.

For the season, Miller leads the Cavaliers in scoring with 10 points, while tying for the team lead in goals (three) and assists (four).

Miller is the first Cavalier freshman to be named ACC Player of the Week since Jess Rostedt in 2005.

The No. 11 Cavaliers travel west this week for the Sun Devil Desert Classic in Tempe, Ariz. Virginia meets Arizona Friday and host Arizona State on Sunday.
