CHARLOTTESVILLE — The No. 16 Virginia women’s soccer team closes out its non-conference schedule Sunday when it hosts American. Game time at Klöckner Stadium is set for 2 p.m.

The Cavaliers (4-1-2) are unbeaten in their last six games and are coming off a 4-0 victory over Seton Hall last week. Virginia is led by a balanced scoring attack, led by Meghan Lenczyk (McLean, Va.), Lauren Alwine (Elizabethtown, Pa.), Caroline Miller (Rockville, Md.), Jess Rostedt (Kent, Ohio) and Sinead Farrelly (Havertown, Pa.), all of whom have at least three goals this season. Chantel Jones (Midlothian, Va.) has a 0.55 goals against average in goal for the Cavaliers.

American (4-3-0) is coming off a 2-0 loss to Loyola (Md.) on Friday. On the season, the Eagles have scored six goals and allowed six goals.

Virginia opens conference play on Thursday when it visits NC State. The Cavaliers host Clemson in their ACC home opener on Sept. 27.
