CHARLOTTESVILLE – No. 18 Virginia plays at No. 6 Duke on Friday (Feb. 26) at Cameron Indoor Stadium. Tip-off is 8:30 p.m., and the game will be televised by the ACC’s Regional Sports Network (Comcast SportsNet in the Charlottesville area). Live statistics and live audio (V Pass) will be available on VirginiaSports.com.

The game will be broadcast over the airwaves on WINA 1070 in the Charlottesville area with Jay James (play-by-play), Myron Ripley (color analyst) and Larry Johnson (statistician) calling the action.

Virginia (20-7, 8-4 ACC) is coming off a 59-58 loss to No. 10 Florida State on Monday (Feb. 22). The loss snapped a streak of five-consecutive victories for the Cavaliers.

Monica Wright (Woodbridge, Va.) leads UVa and the ACC by averaging 22.7 points per game. She also leads the league in steals per game (3.6 per game) and 30-point games (six).

Chelsea Shine (Wayne, Pa.) is second on the team in scoring at 8.2 points per game, followed by Ariana Moorer (Woodbridge, Va.) at 7.3 points per game. Eight Cavaliers have scored at least 100 points this year (Wright, Shine, Moorer, Whitny Edwards, Paulisha Kellum, Lexie Gerson, Simone Egwu and Telia McCall).

Duke (23-4, 11-1 ACC) is ranked No. 6 in both national polls and is in first place in the Atlantic Coast Conference standings.

The Blue Devils have posted a 13-1 home record at Cameron Indoor Stadium, including a 6-0 home mark in the ACC. Duke has a streak of 15-consecutive victories on its homecourt against ACC opponents.

Jasmine Thomas leads Duke by averaging 15.7 points and 4.1 assists per game, followed by Joy Cheek with 9.9 ppg and 6.2 rebounds per game.

Duke head coach Joanne P. McCallie is in her third season in Durham and has a 75-20 record. Her career coaching tally is 391-168.

UVa leads the all-time series with Duke, 32-28, but has lost 16-straight to the Blue Devils. The last victory for Virginia at Cameron Indoor Stadium was on Feb. 19, 1997 (86-56).

Following Friday’s match-up, Virginia returns home for its final game of the regular season. Tip-off vs. Virginia Tech on Sunday, Feb. 28 is 1 p.m., and senior Monica Wright will be honored as part of Senior Day festivities.
