Charlottesville, VA – With a number of home athletics events taking place Saturday, March 6, and Sunday, March 7, at Virginia, fans should be aware of the following information regarding parking options, ticket operations and gate openings. Fans planning on attending any ticketed event are urged to purchase tickets online through the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office to avoid lines and delays attending those events.
Saturday, March 6
Softball
Delaware State vs. Columbia – 11:00 a.m. Virginia vs. Delaware State – 1:30 p.m. Virginia vs. Columbia – 4:00 p.m.
Tickets There is no admission charge for UVa softball
Parking Parking is available at North Grounds on a first-come, first-served basis.
Men’s Basketball
vs. Maryland – 1:30 p.m.
Tickets Reserved seat tickets are still available at $35. Fans may purchase tickets online at VirginiaSports.com or by calling the Virginia athletics ticket office at 1-800-542-8821 or 434/924-8821 weekdays between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Tickets may also be purchased in person by visiting the athletics ticket office in Bryant Hall at Scott Stadium weekdays between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. or game day at the John Paul Jones Arena box office.
Gates Open Admission to JPJA will start at noon.
Parking All parking lots adjacent to JPJA are reserved for VAF permit holders. A VAF permit is required to park in the parking lots until 2:00 p.m. Parking is available to the public at the Emmet-Ivy garage for $5.
Baseball
Wright State vs. Dartmouth – 11:30 a.m. Virginia vs. Dartmouth – 3:00 p.m.
Tickets Reserved (subject to availability) $9, general admission for adults $7, general admission for youth (18 and under), seniors (60 and over) and faculty/staff are $5. Tickets can be ordered in person at the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office in Bryant Hall at Scott Stadium or by phone at (800) 542-8821 weekdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., and online by clicking here. Advance ticket sales end 4 hours prior to the game. Tickets are also available on game day at the Davenport Field ticket windows, subject to availability, beginning 2 hours prior to the game.
Gates Open Admission to Davenport Field will start at 9:30 a.m.
Parking Parking will be available at Emmet/Ivy Garage on Saturday for all baseball patrons. The gates will be raised until 11:00 a.m. Basketball cash operations begin at 11:00 a.m. Baseball patrons attending the second game on Saturday may park in the University Hall or John Paul Jones Arena lots beginning at 2:00 p.m. Parking is first-come, first-served and patrons will be able to fill in open spaces.
Football Meet and Greet with Mike London at JPJA – 4 p.m. Tickets This is a free event for fans attending the UVa men’s basketball game vs. Maryland. Fans not attending the game may enter JPJA for the Meet and Greet at the conclusion of the basketball contest (estimated at 3:35 p.m.). The program portion of the Meet and Greet is scheduled to start approximately 30 minutes after the end of the basketball game.
Gates Open Following the conclusion of the men’s basketball game vs. Maryland for non-ticket holders.
Parking Parking will be available at all John Paul Jones Arena and University Hall lots for the Football Meet and Greet beginning at 2:00 p.m. This will be first-come, first-served parking, and patrons will be able to fill in open spaces.
Sunday, March 7
