CHARLOTTESVILLE — The Virginia women’s soccer team has won its last four spring games of the season. On April 17, Virginia topped Richmond 3-1 at the Upper Grass Field. The previous week, the Cavaliers defeated William & Mary 3-0 at Klöckner Stadium on Apr. 6 before downing Miami 2-0 and Wake Forest 3-1 on Apr. 10 at the ACC Spring Tournament in Winston-Salem, N.C.

In the win over Richmond, the Cavaliers got a goal from Meghan Lenczyk (McLean, Va.), Lauren Alwine (Elizabethtown, Pa.) converted a penalty kick, and Katie Carr (Williamsburg, Va.) scored off a corner kick from Alwine.

Against William & Mary, the Cavaliers downed the Tribe on goals by Alwine, Emily Perrin (Charlottesville, Va.) and Caroline Miller (Rockville, Md.). In the first game of the ACC weekend, Virginia used goals by Lenczyk and Julia Roberts (Frederick, Md.) to defeat Miami. In the second game, Lenczyk, Sinead Farrelly (Havertown, Pa.) and Emily Carrollo (Sussex, N.J.) scored in the win over Wake Forest.
