CHARLOTTESVILLE – The fourth-ranked Virginia women’s lacrosse team’s NCAA Tournament quarterfinal contest at No. 3 North Carolina will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday (May 22).

The Cavaliers and Tar Heels will compete at Fetzer Field in Chapel Hill, N.C., with a trip to the national semifinals on the line.

Virginia (14-5) defeated Towson, 14-12, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament Sunday (May 16) at Klöckner Stadium. The Tar Heels, meanwhile, beat Navy 18-5 in their first-round match-up.

Earlier this season, Virginia was victorious over North Carolina, 13-12, in overtime in Charlottesville.
