CHARLOTTESVILLE- Virginia will play Washington in the first round of the 2010 EA SPORTS Maui Invitational Tournament at the Lahaina Civic Center in Maui, Hawaii, on Nov. 22. The first round games and tournament bracket were announced on Thursday (Aug. 5).

The Virginia-Washington game is the last of four games on the opening day of the three-day tournament. The game is scheduled to begin at midnight eastern time (7 p.m. Hawaii time) and will be televised by ESPN2. The three-day tournament continues through Nov. 24.

The winner of the Virginia-Washington game will play the winner of an opening round game between Oklahoma and Kentucky in the tournament semifinals on Nov. 23.

Other opening round games feature Wichita State against Connecticut and Michigan State vs. Chaminade.

Virginia will be making its fourth appearance in the EA SPORTS Maui Invitational. The Cavaliers are 5-3 in the tournament and finished second in both 2002 and 1996.

Washington finished the 2009-10 season with an overall record of 26-10, won the Pac-10 Tournament Championship and reached the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.

Virginia compiled an overall record of 15-16 in 2009-10 and was 5-11 in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
