“I thought the energy level from everyone was great today,” said head coach Steve Swanson. “We did some good things. We moved the ball well at times, but not consistantly; but we scored some great goals. There were a lot of positives, but we realize that we still have a way to go to be ready for our season opener next week. We can take a lot from this game, especially playing such a strong opponent like Notre Dame.”
The Cavaliers host James Madison in their final preseason game on Sunday at 7 p.m. at Klöckner Stadium. The regular season opens on Friday, August 20 when the Cavaliers host Liberty at Klöckner Stadium at 7 p.m.
