Virginia Softball Announces Fall Schedule

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia softball team will play an intrasquad scrimmage at 11 a.m. Sept. 18, the first event on its 2010 fall schedule.

The Cavaliers, who made their first NCAA Tournament appearance in 2010, return 13 letterwinners, including six starters. Fourth-year head coach Eileen Schmidt also welcomes six newcomers to the roster.

Virginia will play host to Bridgewater for three games on Sept. 26 before heading to Harrisonburg, Va., for a doubleheader at James Madison on Oct. 8.

The Cavaliers will close the fall with a doubleheader at home against George Mason on Oct. 15.
