LOS ANGELES — The Virginia doubles team of Emily Fraser (Rye, N.Y.) and Hana Tomljanovic (Boca Raton, Fla.) advanced to the main draw of doubles during the second day of qualifying at the ITA All-American Championships. The duo won their second round match on Wednesday to give the Cavaliers two teams in the main draw.

In the second round, Fraser and Tomljanovic won their match 8-3 over the Illinois duo of Abajain and Smutko. Due to delays in the schedule because of rain, the final round of doubles qualifying was cancelled and all eight qualifying finalists were moved into the main draw. Fraser and Tomljanovic join the Cavalier team of Lindsey Hardenbergh (Fairfax Station, Va.) and Erin Vierra (Norwell, Mass.) in the main draw.

In singles qualifying, Hardenbergh resumed her second round match that was halted on Tuesday due to rain, but fell to No. 28 Danielle Lao of USC, 6-4, 7-6(5). Fraser, who completed her second round win on Tuesday before the rain, will play Connie Hsu of Penn in the final round of qualifying on Thursday.

Thursday’s schedule includes the final round of singles qualifying, the first round of main draw singles, and the first round of main draw doubles.
