CHARLOTTESVILLE – The No. 8 Virginia women’s soccer team continues its four-game homestand when it hosts Duke Thursday night at Klöckner Stadium. Game time is set for 7 p.m.

The Cavaliers are 8-3-1 on the season and 2-2-0 in the ACC after falling to No. 3 North Carolina 1-0 in overtime on Friday night at Klöckner Stadium. The loss snapped Virginia’s nine-game home unbeaten streak (8-0-1).

Duke enters the game at 7-4-3 overall and 1-3-1 in the ACC. The Blue Devils picked up their first conference win of the season on Sunday, downing Clemson 4-1 in Durham.

The matchup is the 34th all-time meeting between the teams. Virginia leads the all-time series 16-11-6, including a 7-4-3 edge in Charlottesville. The Cavaliers are unbeaten (5-0-1) in the last six regular season meetings between the teams, but the Blue Devils have won the two postseason matchups during that span.

The Cavaliers will conclude their homestand on Sunday when they host Wake Forest. Game time for that match is now 1:30 p.m. (a change from the original schedule).
