Women's Soccer Visits Clemson to Conclude Regular Season

CHARLOTTESVILLE – The No. 7 Virginia women’s soccer team concludes its regular season schedule Sunday as it visits Clemson. Game time at Historic Riggs Field is set for 1 p.m.
Virginia enters the game with a 12-3-2 record this season and a 6-2-1 mark in the ACC. The Cavaliers are on a conference-high five-game unbeaten streak after a 2-1 win over NC State Thursday in its home finale. With a win Sunday, Virginia would post seven ACC wins and 13 regular season wins for the first time since 2005.
Clemson, led by former Virginia assistant coach Hershey Strosberg, is 6-12-0 this season and 0-9-0 in the ACC. The Tigers are coming off a 3-0 loss to Virginia Tech on Thursday.
Clemson leads the all-time series 10-9-0, including a 4-3-0 edge in Clemson. Virginia has had the recent advantage in the series, going 6-0-1 in the last seven meetings with the Tigers.
Next week Virginia travels to Cary, N.C. for the ACC Tournament. The Cavaliers can be seeded anywhere from first to fifth, depending on Sunday’s results.
