Cavaliers Wrap Up Last Chance Meets

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia track and field team wrapped up its final day of last chance competition on Saturday, with senior Adams Abdulrazaaq and freshman Aaron Shepperd competing in the 60m hurdles at the Virginia Tech Final Qualifier.

Abdulrazaaq, ranked tied for 12th nationally, finished second to Kentucky’s Keith Hayes. Hayes won the event in 7.75, while Abdulrazaaq finished in 7.76. Shepperd took seventh overall with a time of 8.13.

Selections for the 2011 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships will be announced Monday evening. This year’s national meet will be held at Texas A&M.
