COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Senior Marcus Robinson concluded competition at the 2011 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships for the Virginia Cavaliers Saturday evening, by finishing 11th in the triple jump with the second-best jump of his career, a leap of 52′ 5.75″. With his finish, Robinson earns second-team All-America honors.

The 2011 ACC Champion in the event, Robinson fouled on his initial jump at his first-ever indoor national meet, before following that up with a leap of 51′ 3.75″. His final jump was marked at 52′ 2.75″.

Robinson, from Richmond, Va., finishes the season ranked No. 1 in the ACC with his personal-best jump of 52′ 8″ from the conference championships. Florida’s Will Claye won the title with a jump of 56′ 10″.
