Women's Soccer Announces Spring Schedule

CHARLOTTESVILLE — The Virginia women’s soccer team announced its 2011 spring schedule on Tuesday, as the Cavaliers will play six games over the next month. The team will play five college opponents and one professional team during the spring season.
The Cavaliers open the spring season with two games on March 19 in Richmond in conjunction with the Jefferson Cup Tournament. Virginia plays James Madison in the morning and West Virginia in the evening. The following week, Virginia travels to New York City to play WPS team Sky Blue FC. On April 2, the Cavaliers host UNC Greensboro on the upper grass field (next to the main entrance of Klöckner Stadium). Virginia plays Maryland on April 9 in Germantown, Md. as part of the KICKS for Breast Cancer Tournament before concluding the spring season on April 16 by hosting Georgetown at Klöckner Stadium.
