Today was a really exciting day. This morning we had a short practice that began with a serve and pass drill that allowed us to focus on our technique. We concluded the short practice by running through different defensive schemes. Everyone was really excited for the Orange and Blue Scrimmage and it was evident in our play. After practice we had our pre-game meal (Mona Lisa Pasta, yum!) and prepared for the match.

Once it came time for the game, we got pumped up in the locker room by watching film and listening to music. We ran out and warmed up for about 30 minutes and everyone was on fire. The fans were cheering for us and the warm-up music was loud; I was so excited to perform in my first college volleyball match!

The match was extremely competitive. We switched up the teams for each of the five games in order to keep the rallies going. It was exhausting but very exciting.

We held a youth clinic after for all the children who came to watch us play. I have to say there is a lot of talent out there and I cannot wait to coach the camps next summer. Thanks to all the fans who came out to support us!
