CHARLOTTESVILLE – The No. 4 Virginia women’s soccer team continues its nine-game homestand this weekend with a pair of games at Klöckner Stadium. The Cavaliers host Arizona State on Friday at 7 p.m. and Drexel on Sunday at 2 p.m.

Tickets for each game are $7 for adult general admission and $5 for youth, senior and faculty/staff general admission.

Virginia (4-0-0) opened the season with wins over West Virginia, Richmond, Liberty and St. John’s. The Cavaliers haven’t opened a season 5-0-0 since 2004, when they went 9-0-0 to start the year and went on to win the ACC Championship. Virginia leads the nation with 19 goals scored this season and 11 different goal scorers.

Arizona State (2-0-0) opened the season with home wins over Northern Arizona and South Carolina. Drexel (1-1-1), who hosts Temple Friday before traveling to Charlottesville, has defeated Delaware State, tied LaSalle and lost to Rutgers this season.

Virginia and Arizona State are meeting for the second time in history. The teams played to a 1-1 tie in 2009 in Tempe. Sunday’s game will be the first ever meeting between the Cavaliers and Dragons.
