Ryan Tedford
Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach
Ryan Tedford joined the Cavalier football program’s strength and conditioning staff in the summer of 2011. He assists with training programs and performance testing to improve strength, power, speed, agility, flexibility and condition of the Cavaliers.

From 2006 to 2011 he was the head strength and conditioning coach at McKinney North High School in McKinney, Texas. Before that he was headed up the strength and conditioning program for 16 sports at Kent State from 1998 to 2006.

Tedford was a graduate assistant coach at Texas from 1995 to 1997. He served as an intern for the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams in 1994.

Tedford earned his undergraduate degree in kinesiology from Sam Houston State in 1995. He was a four-year letterwinner on the Bearkat football team from 1991 to 1994. He completed his master’s degree in kinesiology from Texas in 1998.

He is a certified member of the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association, a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a sports performance coach certified through USA Weightlifting.
