CHARLOTTESVILLE – Virginia junior forward Caroline Miller (Rockville, Md.) was named ACC Women’s Soccer Co-Player of the Week, conference officials announced Tuesday. Miller, who scored two goals in the Cavaliers’ 4-3 overtime victory over Florida State, shared this week’s honor with Duke goalkeeper Tara Campbell.
The honor is the third of Miller’s career and her second of the season. She also was recognized on Sept. 27 after scoring the overtime goal in Virginia’s 1-0 win at North Carolina.
Miller had her third multi-goal game of the season against the Seminoles. She scored the game-winner in the 93rd minute, her second golden goal of the season. Miller leads the team with 12 goals and has scored five of the Cavaliers’ nine goals in ACC play.
The eighth-ranked Cavaliers will visit NC State on Thursday night in their final road game of the regular season. They return home Sunday to host Clemson at 1 p.m., to begin a three-game homestand to conclude the regular season.
