CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Game 3 of the Virginia baseball team’s Orange and Blue World Series, scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday (Oct. 13) at Davenport Field, has been postponed because of poor field conditions caused by heavy rain over the past two days. The game has been rescheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday (Oct. 15).

The Saturday game will be Game 4 in the series. Game 3 of the series will be held at 6 p.m. Friday (Oct. 14). Prior to the start of this game, Virginia will hold its ACC Championship and College World Series ring ceremony to honor the 2011 team. The series is scheduled to conclude with Game 5 at 4 p.m. Sunday (Oct. 16).

Admission is free. Fans attending the contests should enter on the first baseline side of the stadium via Lannigan Way. Free parking will be available in the University Hall lot. Parking will not be available in the John Paul Jones Arena lots Friday, Saturday or Sunday because of an event at JPJ. Concession and merchandise stands will be open for the game.

Game 2: Blue 4, Orange 1
Game 3: Friday, Oct. 14, 6 p.m. (Ring Ceremony)
Game 4: Saturday, Oct. 15, 11 a.m.
