UVa Women's Golfers Finish 13th at Stanford

Stanford, CA – The 12th-ranked Virginia women’s golf team finished 13th at the Stanford Intercollegiate Sunday at the Stanford Golf Course. Virginia shot 7-over 291 Sunday for a three-day total of 24-over 876. Top-ranked UCLA won the event at 842.
Virginia was led by the 10th-place showing of junior Brittany Altomare. She shot 74 Sunday for a 54-hole total of 2-under 211. Elizabeth Brightwell also carded a 74 Sunday and was 39th at 218. Portland Rosen led the Cavaliers in the final round with a 1-under 70 to move up to 53rd at 220. Briana Mao, playing in her first tournament, was 75th at 230. UVa junior Nicole Agnello also shot 230 including a 73 during the final round. Freshman Kaira Martin was 68th at 226.
Washington’s SooBin Kim took medalist honors at 13-under 200.
The Cavaliers will close out their fall season Oct. 28-29 at The Landfall Tradition in Wilmington, N.C.
