Women's Soccer to Host ACC Quarterfinal on Sunday

CHARLOTTESVILLE – The Virginia women’s soccer team will host a quarterfinal game of the 2011 ACC Tournament on Sunday at 1 p.m. at Klöckner Stadium. The Cavaliers’ opponent will be determined following the final games of the regular season on Thursday night.
This season marks the first time the ACC has scheduled quarterfinal games at home of the higher seeds. The teams that finish in the top four of the regular season standings will host. Virginia clinched a top-four finish with one game remaining in the regular season.
Tickets are $10 for reserved seating, $8 for general admission and $5 for youth/senior general admission. Fans can order tickets by phone through the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office at 800-542-UVA1 (8821) or 434-924-UVA1 (8821). Tickets are also available at the gate beginning one hour prior to the start of play.
Sunday’s four winners will advance to the semifinals, held Friday, November 4 in Cary, N.C. The tournament final is scheduled for Sunday, November 6 in Cary.
The Cavaliers conclude the regular season on Thursday as they host Miami. Game time at Klöckner Stadium is 7 p.m.
