Former Cavalier golfer Will Collins Finishes 14th in Pro Debut

Hilton Head Island, SC – Playing in his first professional event, former Cavalier men’s golfer Will Collins tied for 14th place at the Palmetto Hall Championship last weekend in Hilton Head Island, S.C. The event is part of the eGolf Professional Tour. Collins finished at 4-under 284, including a final round of 7-under 65.

Collins won $2,728 as part of the tournament’s purse. Former Clemson player Brent Delahoussaye took medalist honors at 11-under 277.

Collins shot 74 to open the event and carded a 3-under 69 during the second round to make the cut. He posted a 76 in the third round.

Collins is currently enrolled at Virginia taking classes in the School of Education.
