GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Virginia men’s basketball team will be the No. 4 seed in the 2012 ACC Tournament, scheduled for March 8-11 at Philips Arena in Atlanta. The Cavaliers receive a first round bye and will open play with a quarterfinal game against either NC State or Boston College on Friday.

Virginia’s quarterfinal game will be at 2:00 p.m., or 30 minutes following the first game of the day. The ACC Tournament will be televised on the ACC Network within the ACC footprint and on the ESPN family of networks throughout the rest of the nation.

The Cavaliers (22-8) finished in a fourth-place tie with NC State and Miami at 9-7 in ACC play. Virginia defeated Miami and NC State in the only regular season meeting against both the Hurricanes and Wolfpack to win the tiebreaker and earn the No. 4 seed.
