Altomare and Mao Complete Play at U.S. Women's Open

Kohler, Wisc. – Virginia women’s golfers Brittany Altomare and Briana Mao completed their play at the 2012 U.S. Women’s Open at Blackwolf Run in Kohler, Wisc. Both players failed to make the cut that was set at 5-over 149.Altomare shot 4-over 76 during Friday’s play for a two-day total of 10-over 154. She tied for 95th place.

Briana Mao carded a second-round score of 81 to wrap up her debut at the tournament with a score of 22-over 166. She tied for 151st place.

The tournament was Altomare’s third trip to the U.S. Women’s Open. She played in the 2009 tournament at Saucon Valley Country Club and at the 2010 event at Oakmont Country Club.
