Charlottesville, Va. – Virginia Sports Properties, the multi-media rights holder for Virginia athletics, announced today the addition of News/Talk 960 WFIR (107.3 FM) in Roanoke to its lineup of network affiliates.The station will air Virginia football and men’s basketball games and broadcast the weekly Cavalier Coaches shows produced by Virginia Sports Properties.

News/Talk 960 WFIR includes the local sports talk show Greg Roberts Live weekdays from 5 to 7 p.m. WFIR has been broadcasting in Roanoke since 1924. Prior to 1969 the station’s call letters were WDBJ radio. WFIR is owned by Wheeler Broadcasting, Inc.
