GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Atlantic Coast Conference announced Friday the Olympic Sport broadcast coverage for the upcoming fall season. Virginia teams will make 12 regular-season broadcast appearances, with the chance of additional coverage during ACC tournaments.The league announced that 77 Olympic Sports events will be broadcast, the highest-ever in the history of ACC sports and more than doubling last year’s record coverage.

The Virginia women’s soccer team will have six broadcast appearances; three on television and three online. Five of the Cavaliers’ 10 ACC games will be available, including a pair of home games on national television. The ACC opener against NC State on Sept. 13 will be televised on FOX Soccer and the Sept. 30 match against Duke will air on ESPNU. The Cavaliers’ road games at Clemson (Sept. 23) and Florida State (Oct. 14) will be available online on ESPN3 and the home game against Wake Forest on Oct. 5 will be available on the ACC Digital Network’s new partnership with YouTube. In addition, Virginia’s Aug. 31 game at Texas will be televised on the Longhorn Network. The ESPN family of networks will again provide coverage of the semifinals and final of the ACC Tournament. Both semifinals will be shown online by ESPN3 and the championship game will air nationally on ESPNU.

The Virginia men’s soccer team will have four of its eight conference games televised. The Cavaliers will have two games nationally televised by FOX Soccer, when they travel to North Carolina on Sept. 21 and visit Maryland on Oct. 5. Virginia’s home game against Virginia Tech on Oct. 19 will air regionally on the ACC Regional Sports Network (Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic in Virginia). The regular season finale on Nov. 1 at NC State will be broadcast online by ESPN3. The ESPN family of networks will again provide coverage of the semifinals and final of the ACC Tournament. Both semifinals will be shown online by ESPN3 and the championship game will air nationally on ESPNU.

The Virginia field hockey team will have one regular season broadcast appearance. The Cavaliers’ visit to North Carolina on Oct. 13 will be broadcast online by ESPN3. The entire ACC Field Hockey Tournament will be broadcast with quarterfinals on theACC.com, and the semifinals and final televised by the ACC Regional Sports Network (Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic in Virginia).

The Virginia volleyball team will make one television appearance. The Cavaliers’ game at Clemson on Oct. 5 will air on the ACC Regional Sports Network (Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic in Virginia).
