CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.—The Virginia volleyball team travels to NC State and No. 25 North Carolina for two Atlantic Coast Conference matches this weekend. The Cavaliers will face the Wolfpack Friday (Nov. 16) at 7 p.m. and the Tar Heels Saturday (Nov. 17) at 5 p.m.

The Cavaliers (8-18, 2-13 ACC) went 1-1 last weekend, coming from behind to defeat Boston College, 3-2, on Nov. 10 after falling to Maryland, 3-0, on Nov. 9 in Charlottesville.

UVa is 9-19 on the season and 3-14 in ACC play. Senior Jessica O’Shoney tied a career high with 19 kills in the five-set win over Boston College. Junior Emily Rottman tallied a career-high 40 digs in the four-set loss to Clemson on Nov. 3, the fourth-most in a single match in Virginia history.

The Wolfpack are 20-8 on the season (10-7 ACC) after splitting a pair of matches last weekend. NC State defeated Clemson, 3-0, before falling to Georgia Tech, 3-1.

The Tar Heels are 22-5 on the year and 13-4 in conference play. UNC defeated Clemson, 3-1, after falling at Georgia Tech, 3-2, last weekend.

Up next, the Cavaliers will travel to Blacksburg, Va., for their final match of the season against Virginia Tech on Nov. 23 at 7 p.m.
