CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – No. 17 Virginia travels to No. 19 Georgia Tech and No. 14 Clemson for a pair of Atlantic Coast Conference women’s tennis matches this weekend.

The Cavaliers, who have won five consecutive matches, battle Georgia Tech (10-7, 4-3 ACC) on Saturday, April 13 at 12 p.m. Virginia completes the road trip with a match against Clemson (10-6, 5-2 ACC) on Sunday, April 14 at 12 p.m.

Virginia (13-7, 6-1 ACC) has won 10 of its last 11 matches and is coming off a 4-1 win over East Tennessee State last Sunday. The Cavaliers have also defeated North Carolina, North Carolina Central, Wake Forest and NC State during their five-match winning streak.

Freshman Julia Elbaba (Oyster Bay, N.Y.) is ranked No. 11 in the latest ITA singles rankings, while freshman Stephanie Nauta (Galveston, Texas) is ranked No. 66. Elbaba is 12-6 in dual action, including a 7-0 ACC singles mark. Nauta and senior co-captain Erin Vierra (Norwell, Mass.) lead the team with 13 dual singles wins each, while junior Caryssa Peretz (Cherry Hill, N.J.) has 10 victories.

Elbaba and senior Hana Tomljanovic (Boca Raton, Fla.) are ranked No. 88 in the latest doubles rankings with a 9-2 mark. Vierra and Nauta are ranked No. 85 at 7-4 and senior Maria Fuccillo (Rockville, Md.) and junior Li Xi (Kunming, China) have added a 5-1 mark at No. 3 doubles.

Georgia Tech’s Elizabeth Kilborn is ranked No. 80 in singles, while Kendal Woodard is ranked No. 108. Woodard and Megan Kurey are ranked No. 57 in doubles.

Clemson’s singles lineup features No. 17 Yana Koroleva, No. 24 Anne-Liz Jeukeng and No. 33 Beatrice Gumulya.

The Cavaliers, who are 18-12 all-time against Georgia Tech, posted a 6-1 win over the Yellow Jackets last season. Virginia went 1-1 against Clemson last season and is 6-34 all-time against the Tigers.
