CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.–The Virginia rowing team has released its 2013 fall schedule, head coach Kevin Sauer announced Monday (Sept. 9). The Cavaliers will compete in three fall regattas.

The four-time defending Atlantic Coast Conference Champions will compete in the prestigious Head of the Charles on Oct. 20 in Boston, where the Varsity Eight finished as the top collegiate crew a year ago.

The following week, the Cavaliers will compete at the Princeton Chase on Oct. 27 in Princeton, N.J., where both the V8 and the Novice Eight picked up wins in 2012.

Virginia will conclude the fall schedule with the annual Rivanna Romp at 9 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 17 at the Rivanna Reservoir in Earlysville, Va. Last season, the Cavaliers won three races at the Romp.

UVa finished fifth at the 2013 NCAA Championships and swept all four races to earn its 13th ACC crown.
